AT&T sucks!

AT&T is a bad company, profoundly bad. I say this because if there is one thing you can not sacrifice in a company it's customer service. Pissed of people will leave your company, it's a fact. So why would you purposely piss people off? I say purposefully because everyone knows that calling customer service at AT&T is like walking through an electronic labyrinth with several hungry minotaurs. I estimate they have 1 to 3 real people doing customer service and mask it by having a elaborate electronic system that:

A) Prevents you from getting customer service from a real person.

B) Causes you to die of hunger and thirst and at the very least of sink into a deep depression.

C) Increases your chances of stabbing yourself in the temple with a nail.

I was trying to install wireless internet for my parents at some stage last summer. I was on hold for so long I was able to watch an episode of "Friends" which runs about 21-25 minutes. My mom promptly remarked that this company was nonsense and she didn't want the product anymore and let's be honest  mom knows best .Yesterday I called in about wireless phone service and the electronic fool asked me a series of questions:

Do you have a number associated with AT&T?

What state and town are you in?

Please say your street address?

Please say you zip code?

What did you have for lunch?

Do you think your are overweight?

How much wood could a wood chuck chuck, if a wood chuck could chuck wood?

Twenty minutes later I finally got through...

"I'm sorry the offices in your area are closed, please call back...............AAAARRRGGG"

I ran straight to the nearest window and jumped out of it, to ease the pain. Thankfully I live on the first floor but my intent was clear. This type of contact is because companies make us sign contracts and at the bottom in small print it reads "GOTCHA, we'll do whatever the f@ck we want." The good news is, you don't have to sign contracts and be held hostage by these companies.  Monthly, less costly alternatives are now available.
