We found out today that another white woman has escaped the long arm of the law but in this case I think justice was served ~ it's not like she didn't report a child missing for a month and lie her ass off yada yada yada. Amanda Knox, the 24-year-old American found guilty in the 2009 murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher in Perugia, was exonerated after an appeals court jury on Monday acquitted her and her ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito. AVIANO, Italy, An 88-year-old Italian woman warded off a thief in her home, telling him he should be ashamed of himself and that he should get a job.

The thief knocked on Rina Zorzin's door posing as an electricity-meter man and asked to see the meter. When Rina refused to acquiesce, he took out a gun to scare the senior but she refused to be intimidated.
"Nothing scares me anymore, at my age, so I jumped onto his back to stop him." Rina explained.

Rina would not give in to the man's demands and while the thief searched around her home for valuables, she managed to get free. Then she ran outside and yelled, "thief, dirty thief, you ought to be ashamed, go and get a job." This coupled with immense embarrassment was enough to cause the thief to flee.

"I would have chased after him, too, if it weren't for my artificial hip," Claimed a defiant Rina.
