Galdiator Maximus, moments before munching on 9News anchorwoman Kyle Dyer's Face

85 pound Argentine mastiff Gladiator Maximus, attacked 9News anchorwoman Kyle Dyer during a live, in-studio segment on Wednesday that was meant to celebrate the dog's rescue from an icy lake the day before.

The ungrateful bastard was rescued from an icy lake by brave firefighters which earned him an appearance on 9News in a "feel-good" segment. Gladiator Maximus did not "feel-good" at all! After appearing to enjoy being patted on the head, Gladiator Maximus suddenly turned niggerish and bit an unsuspecting Dyer in the face.

Dyer is in fair condition and recovering from facial reconstructive surgery while Gladiator Maximus remains in the custody of animal control and is expected to be returned to his owner 10 to 14 days from now.

Dogs in Africa have defended the actions of Gladiator Maximus claiming that it's about time western dogs accepted their true nature and started biting people. They do however, acknowledge that Gladiator Maximus could have gone about things in a more diligent, professional manner as he was on TV at the time.
