Racist Reunion Letter at Louisiana school Calls for ‘White Graduates Only’ Party (VIDEO)!
Graduates from the St. Martinville, La., Senior High School Class of 1973 decided after 40 years that they would no longer hold segregated, Jim Crow-themed class reunions. Organizers would finally allow Negroes to intermingle with whites by invite and presumably allow them to enter the building.
A letter was sent out to 1973 Alumni with the schedule for Friday, September 21st 2012. The schedule displayed several activities relevant to all graduates in the spirit of the recent desegregation proclamation but after The Home Coming Game, the After-Game Get Together is listed as an event for:
"WHITE GRADUATES ONLY"
The letter was brought to Michael Kreamer, principal of the Louisiana school's, attention last Friday morning and he pretended to be shocked and appalled, despite having apparently allowed segregated school reunions continue up until very recently.
“It’s disappointing to see something like this,” Kreamer said. “The school was really not involved at all in it.”
Liza Chance, one of the organizers of the event, told ABC News group that the party had originally been planned in the spirit of Jim Crow but then they changed their minds and decided to allow Negroes to attend. Chance explained that the incorrect schedule had been sent prematurely to Alumni.
“I don’t understand why this went the way it did,” Chance exclaimed.
"I had no idea this type of thing still happened," were the words echoed by every American who has been told that racism is over and blacks just complain a lot.
But seriously........... It is 2012, this type of thing still happens??????
