On October 14th, 2012, Austrian Felix Baumgartner became the first skydiver to go faster than the speed of sound, reaching a maximum velocity of 833.9mph (1,342km/h). Baumgartner's feat set a new Free Fall WORLD RECORD. The high-octane, death-defying act was sponsored by Red Bull.
