Wendy brown 33, steals 15 year old daughter's identity

Identity theft can happen to anyone......even if you are 15?? And the thief is your mom!

Desperate to live life as a star studded, full-bosomed cheerleader. Wendy Brown (33) Green Bay, Wisconsin took extraordinary measures to play out her pom pom fantasy. Wendy stole her 15-year-old daughter’s ID to enroll in high school and sneak her way onto the cheerleading squad.

Wendy's attempt began before school started when she tried out for the squad, in her brand new uniform purchased with a freshly cut check that bounced emphatically. Wendy managed to keep up the charade, attending multiple cheerleading practices, even attending a pool party at the cheerleading coach’s house.

It was only after a week of classes that officials decided to investigate this oddly mature-looking teenager. It was discovered that Wendy's daughter actually lived in Nevada with her grandmother, her legal guardian, and was happily attending high school there.

Brown was charged with felony identity theft, but if you thought it hard to imagine how easily your identity can be stolen, this is a perfect example of how it can. A 30 year old managed to pose as a 15 year old for a week and nobody noticed...A few weeks is ample time for someone to ruin your life and your credit by making purchases and taking out massive loans in your name. This is why it is important to take measures to make sure you are protected.

Getting hacked and having your identity abused can be as simple as having a weak, easily hackable password. How hack-friendly is your password?
