I'm Always down for Chicken: Freshetta Simply Inspired Tasting!

Sadly, by the time I got to the store, 6 of the 7 other distinctive flavor varieties of FRESCHETTA® Simply…Inspired™  pizza had been devoured by the masses of hyena-like consumers; I guess people are really enjoying it. All that remained was the Southern Barbeque Recipe Chicken flavor but I am always down for chicken.

I got home and opened trademarked FRESCH-TASTE SEAL packaging. Ha! FRESCH-taste, get it? Does it really work? Heck, I don't know but the pizza looked well preserved and I looked forward to consuming it. I popped it in the oven at 425 for about 10 minutes and the pizza was good to go. I made sure it cooled because of my pizza incident last weekend. I ordered pizza in a pizzeria and I was so hungry that the pizza basically went out of the oven and straight into my mouth, practically still flaming. This was last Thursday and I only recovered my sense of taste today.

The quality of the pizza was fairly high and it was actually very tasty, so much so that I cut into my sister's half of the pizza ~ don't tell her. The vegetables and meat tasted about as fresh as they possibly could coming from the frozen food section. I gobbled up the pizza very quickly and I thoroughly enjoyed it. To be honest, I am not even really a huge fan of pizza in general. That being said, I do prefer thin crust pizza to thick because I am not overwhelmed by copious amounts of dough and I get to taste the flavor of the ingredients. The fact that the pizza was thin crust was a plus for me.

My only criticism is that the pizza was too damn small and therefore not very filling which was extra annoying because it was so delicious. Then again I am a 6 foot, athletic, black dude so I probably eat more than the average person.

All in all, I am going t give FRESCHETTA® Simply…Inspired™  pizza a big fat 4.5/5.
