Nigerian Stowaway on Virgin Airlines Flight foiled by his Own Odor!
Olajide Oluwaseun Noib, a Nigerian international managed to evade TSA's security measures and stowaway aboard Virgin America Flight 415 at JFK International Airport on a Los Angeles bound flight. Oluwaseun Noib, who describes himself as an African missionary and a frequent flyer, managed to board the flight with a fraudulent boarding pass and an invalid form of ID, putting into question TSA's latest drive to make airline flight safer.
One thing we can say about TSA's security measures is that they continue to excel at prohibiting the transport on your person of materials related to personal hygiene. This has been made evident in this case as Oluwaseun Noib brought attention to himself with his repugnant, cabin filling odor which ultimately played in his capture when passengers complained to flight staff about it it's prowess. TSA will no doubt claim their prohibition of hygiene related materials, one of which being deodorant (in certain amounts), was a proactive measure to stink the occasional stowaway out of hiding.
Oluwaseun Noib was only arrested a week later at Los Angeles International Airport and tried to fraudulently board a Delta flight bound for Atlanta. He was found with the proverbial "hand in the cookie jar" carrying on him numerous boarding passes, none of which were in his name. On his flight to Los Angeles, despite being questioned and discovered to possess boarding passes with names that did not match his ID, was still allowed to continue his journey and conduct his business for a few days in Los Angeles before his eventual capture.
Oluwaseun Noib's motivation is unknown but considering that in 2008 he was arrested in Chicago in after allegedly refusing to pay a $4.70 fare on a Metra train we can probably conclude he is just a cheap b@astard. Federal law states that being a cheap b@stard [stowaway] on board a flight is a felony punishable by up to five years in prison.
