Tommy Bahama seeks RUM-O-TOLOGIST?
An ambassador of Rim and Culture and crafted cocktail....
Suffice to say that reads as a drunk that can actually:
A) Tell what type of rum or drink they are consuming i.e the difference swizzle and a shrubb..
B) Can pass and Rum connoisseur...
Sounds like fun....BUT...the task to make Tommy Bahama look classy and erudite to the masses will not be a duty taken lightly. That is why Tommy Bahama is scouring every nook and cranny of the country looking for the most qualified individual to represent Tommy Bahama as their official Rumologist. So if you love rum and you know about the various cocktails and mixed drinks you can enjoy, this might be something you may enjoy. The Rumologist will win $50,000 and travel the US, speaking, educating, and experimenting with all things rum! This not for the faint hearted or the individual just looking to get sh@tfaced and drink rum all day, Tommy Bahama is looking for people that knows the history of rum, how it’s mixed, how it pairs with food etc so bartenders, mixologists and anyone that genuinely has a flare for matters concerning Rum need apply.
Contest applications can be found on the Tommy Bahama Facebook page. Participants will be required to create a short video (45-60 seconds) and let the powers that be know why you should be traveling the country drink on the job. The winners of The Tommy Bahama contest for expert rumologist will be announced in October.
