Fernerbache soccer team, all women and children crowd. Men banned after crowd violence
Women and Children grace the Fernebache Stands vs Manisaspor after officials move to ban all male adults, in an effort to curb the crowd violence epidemic that plagues Turkish football!
Fenerbache, a Turkish soccer team, hosted Manisaspor in their third game of 2011-12 in front of a capacity crowd of 41,000 women and children

BUT WHY........

If you watch world soccer, you'd know that no team relishes a trip to Turkey. The fans are passionate and eccentric. The raucous sounds and beating drums create an atmosphere of impending doom that has made away trips to the likes of Galatasaray and Fernerbache tough over the years.

Every sports team wants crazy fans. In fact, recently Tom Brady suggested that the super lame New England fans "Start drinking early" before their games. We later found out, through a team spokesperson that what Brady REALLY meant was that they should all drink plenty of water, eat their vegetables and wear plenty of sunblock.

Tom Brady: instructing New England fans to Chug, Funnel and Shot Gun water before attending the game.
Crazy fans are one thing but Turkish fans have been known to take crazy to an extreme. Turkish fans have been known to turn violent. One incident I personally remember was back in 2000 when Leeds fans traveled to Istanbul for a clash with Turkish giants Galatasaray. After an altercation with a van driver, two Leeds fans were killed, enshrouding the fixture in a dark, morbid cloud. Related incidents continued in years but apparently officials have finally had enough.

If the little boys don't want to behave, they won't get to watch the games, is what officials have decided. In the last fixture verses Manisaspor, male fans were put on "time out" and denied access to the game; issued the proverbial red card as Marcus Omard for Nesnsoccer reports. Only women and children under 12 were admitted to the game free of charge in what is soon to be a historic game not just in Turkey but in world soccer. This measure was in direct response to a disgraceful scene that took place on on July 21 where angry Fenerbache supporters mobbed the field during a friendly against Ukranian club Shaktar Donetsk.

Following these scenes, the Turkish FA implemented an innovative rule which states that should a team be sanctioned for crowd trouble, only women and children under 12 will be allowed to attend its next game. If adopted worldwide, The 'women and children only' rule might just rid world soccer of the scourge of crowd violence.

Either way I don't think it's right for women to get ANOTHER ladies's night. Africanlegend is very angry!
