NY Gaints Michael Boley Cannons Football into Interns Face (video)
I was watching the Monday Night Football game last night thinking that I should offer my services to the STL RAMS as a QB. I am very capable of turning the ball over and I can suck at QB proficiently; why not get paid right? This morning Marcus Kwesi Omard who sails a fantastic ship over at Nesn Soccer sent me a little gif file that reminded me of something repressed from the game.
He sent me this.....
Michael Boley picked up a bizarre fumble from a backwards pass dropped by Cadillac Williams of the STL Rams, who should be renamed Bicycle Williams after that play. Boley picked up the fumble and cashed in on 6 points by returning it for a TD. Then Boley proceeded cannon the football directly at the head of a New York Giants video intern, Ryan Brown. Boley hit Ryan with deadly accuracy. More accuracy than QB Sam Bradford of the STL RAMS had displayed all night. The ball ricocheted off of his face and hit a nearby cameraman as well. This prompted the commentators to sayyyyy....NOTHING. They just glossed over it and pretended a guy didn't get spiked in the face with a football?
I am still waiting for an explanation. There was ample opportunity for the player to NOT spike the ball at an anybodies face, much less, the intern suggesting that this may have been a planned, precision attack! This intern abuse follows the antics Ashley Cole, of Chelsea FC in the English soccer league, who earlier in the year decided to open fire on an intern with an air gun (Read Story). It would appear that being an intern at a pro sports team is not dissimilar to being deployed in Afghanistan; you are always under fire!
