Their solution???
To use household brooms to sweep away puddles of water. These images were blasted around the world to many white people who will now buy tickets to Equatorial Guinea to get the real "African experience."
An embarrassment ~ The groundsmen, achieved nothing but sweeping a layer of turf off the field and embarrassing all Africans as the final pitch conditions were fit only for ducks and fish. Both teams, to their credit, fought hard and used beach football techniques to swim their way to a hard earned 2-2 draw on a field which had rivers and lakes in many areas.
Concurrent to this, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, son of the country’s president, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasolo offered Equatorial Guinean players a second $1 million cash bonus if they were to achieve victory in their second game. Money that would have been better spent ensuring that in an equatorial climate a field was built with adequate drainage and proper contingencies should it rain.
It rains ALL THE TIME in Equatorial Guinea and the powers that be have cash to blow to the tune of $333 000 per goal E.G has scored. This means Africans are doing shitty things on purpose and all the hard work I do convincing white people that Africa makes more sense than that western media portrays gets flushed down the toilet. We might as well just throw Lions and Baboons in the street and complete the image. I am ashamed!
