Evolution: Where Did it all Go HORRIBLY Wrong (pic)?

Sometimes I legitimately feel this way after all the horrible stories I find on the internet and the state of humanity in general.

Maybe if we traveled back in time and stopped Australopithecus Africanus from figuring out that when he is mad at his buddy, he can simply throw a stone at him to disable him, then perhaps the concept of war would never have been realized?

If my Anthropology is way off, screw you for noticing.......
