The First Photo ever Uploaded to The Internet in 1992(pic)!
On the 18th of July 1992, Silvano de Gennaro, an IT developer at European research institute CERN uploaded an all-female parody pop group named Les Horribles Cernettes.
The picture, taken using a Canon EOS 650, featured CERN employees Angela Higney, Michele de Gennaro, Colette Marx-Neilsen, and Lynn Veronneau and was intended to be used as a CD cover.
The photo was passed to fellow CERN employee and Cernettes fan, British computer scientist, MIT professor and inventor of the World Wide Web Tim Berners-Lee.
A good start but unfortunately pictures posted on the internet have devolved into.....THIS:
