After accepting the findings of the United States Anti-Doping Agency's investigation, the sport's world governing body, the UCI, stripped shamed cyclist Lance Armstrong of his seven Tour de France titles.

The disgraced and much maligned cyclist received a notable backlash as former fans burnt him at the stake.

Armstrong responded with a tweet link to a picture of him lying on his couch surrounded by his Tour De France yellow jerseys, which now mean no more on his wall than belligerently, blinding yellow wall paper.

The picture has been interpreted according to each interpreter's bias. Fans of Armstrong, who to this day still believe in his innocence, despite increasingly overwhelming evidence, are calling it relaxed or defiant while his critics continue to pile on the criticism, calling the picture distasteful, proud, arrogant etc.

Personally, I believe Lance Armstrong cheated. I think what he did was part and parcel of his sport and he should not be the one cyclist out of the masses that is singled out and disgraced.

Furthermore, I don't expect the man to stop living his life and cower away in a dungeon of despair on account of his past mistakes. I am surely not that big a hypocrite, are you?
